1. What we collect
- Account info (email, name if provided).
- Content you submit (texts you add, and optional recordings).
- Usage data (pages visited, features used, timestamps).
- Device data (basic diagnostics like browser type).
2. How we use your data
- Provide feedback on your speech and writing.
- Track your learning progress and show analytics.
- Improve reliability and prevent abuse.
- Provide customer support.
3. Audio and text
- Recordings and texts are processed to generate feedback and progress stats.
- You can delete your recordings and texts anytime from your account.
- We do not sell your content.
4. Model training
- Your texts and recordings are not used to train public AI models.
- We do not fine-tune third-party AI models on your individual content.
- We may use aggregated, de-identified statistics (e.g. error frequency by skill area) to improve our own product features. This data cannot be linked back to your account.
5. Third-party services
- We use third-party providers — including OpenAI, Cerebras and Microsoft Azure Speech — to process audio and text and return AI feedback. They act as data processors and use your data only to deliver the service to us.
- Stripe processes subscription payments. We do not store full card numbers; Stripe retains its own copy under their privacy policy.
- Resend handles transactional email delivery (verification, password reset, billing receipts).
7. Data retention
- Account data is kept while your account is active.
- When you delete content (a recording, text or your account), it is removed from active systems immediately and from encrypted backups within 30 days.
- Billing records (invoices, payment status) are retained for 7 years to meet tax and accounting requirements.
- Aggregated analytics with no personal identifiers may be retained indefinitely.
8. Your rights (EEA / UK / California)
- Access, export, or correct your data — you can download a JSON export from your account settings.
- Delete your account at any time. Account deletion cancels any active subscription.
- Object to or restrict specific processing, and withdraw analytics consent at any time.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. For EU residents, the relevant lead authority is your country's DPA.
- Send rights requests or questions to support@contextalearning.com; we respond within 30 days.
9. International transfers
- Our infrastructure and several AI processors are located in the United States. Where required, transfers from the EEA / UK rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
