Terms of Service

1. Service

• Contexta provides English learning tools with AI-based feedback.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your location).

3. Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining account security.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Abuse the service (automation, scraping, bulk processing).
• Upload illegal content or content you don’t have the right to use.
• Attempt to reverse engineer or disrupt the service.

5. Subscriptions and billing

• Contexta is sold on a recurring subscription basis. Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe at the start of each billing period and renew automatically until cancelled. By starting a paid subscription you authorise these automatic renewals.
• Monthly plans are billed each month on the renewal date. Annual plans are billed in advance for the full 12-month period at a discounted rate.
• The price, billing frequency, and next renewal date are shown to you on the checkout page and on your subscription page.
• You can cancel at any time from the billing portal accessible from your subscription page. Cancellation stops the next renewal. Pro or Max features remain active until the end of the current paid billing period; after that date your plan moves back to Free.
• Annual subscriptions are billed upfront for the full year in exchange for a discount. Cancelling an annual plan stops the next yearly renewal; access continues to the end of the paid period. We do not refund the unused portion of a cancelled subscription, except where required by applicable law. Refunds outside these terms are at our discretion — contact support@contextalearning.com if you believe a charge was made in error.
• If a renewal payment fails, your subscription enters a grace period of up to 7 days during which Stripe retries the charge. If all retries fail, Pro/Max features are paused until you update your payment method.
• Daily fair-use limits on AI feedback and audio generation apply to prevent abuse and keep the service stable. Limits are visible in your account settings.
• Prices may change with at least 14 days' notice; price changes take effect at your next renewal.

6. California residents

The subscription terms above describe an automatic-renewal subscription as defined by California Business & Professions Code §17600 et seq. If you are a California resident, the following applies in addition to the terms above:

• Your subscription will continue and automatically renew at the price and billing frequency disclosed at checkout until you cancel.
• You can cancel online at any time from your subscription page without contacting support.
• The price you will be charged at renewal, the billing frequency, and the next renewal date are shown before purchase and on your subscription page.

7. Disclaimers

• Feedback is educational and may contain mistakes.
• We do not guarantee specific outcomes.

8. Limitation of liability

• Service is provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Termination

• We may suspend accounts that violate acceptable use.

10. Governing law and operator

Contexta is operated by Synaera LLC, 1875 S Bascom Ave, Ste 2400 #4009, Campbell, CA 95008, USA. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be heard in the courts of the State of California, United States, except where mandatory consumer-protection rules grant you a different forum.
